Euro 2012: Hiddink Satisfied with Russia Group

Guus Hiddink, the chief coach of Russia’s national soccer team, declares he is satisfied with the draw which pits Russia against the Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, R of Macedonia, Armenia and Andorra in qualifying Group B for the 2012 UEFA Cup in Poland/Ukraine

Potential internationals performances

Several football players in foreign leagues have Macedonian origin and still have the chance to play for Macedonia. Here is a review of their performances:
Australia, A-League, Perth Glory - Sydney FC 2:3
Naum Sekulovski played the full 90 minutes for Perth while Ivan Necevski was the whole game on Sydney’s bench. Aleksandar Vrteski like Sekulovski played the whole game for Perth, moreover he received a yellow card.

Macedonia ranked 64th on the FIFA ranking

The Macedonian national team moved one position up and is now ranked 64th on the FIFA/Coca Cola World Ranking with 495 points. Macedonia had no activity in the last period, but because of Benin’s drop, the Macedonian national team moved one position to the 64th with 495 points, four less then Iran and three more than Morocco.

Slavkovski signed with Bochum

After spending time with the club trying to reach his wanted form, Slavkovski was offered a 6-months long contract and he has signed with VFL Bochum. The wonder-kid as he was called by many has finally settled down in a club, at least for 6 months. Goran Slavkovski has agreed to a 6-months-long contract with German side VFL Bochum.

Schalke Sign Macedonian Forward Besart Ibraimi
Skopje, January 14 2010 (HIM)
Ambitious Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 have completed the transfer of Macedonian international Besart Ibraimi from Renova for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old attacker has been given a three-and-half-year contract running until June 30, 2013. His contract with Renova was due to expire at the end of this season.
Ibraimi, who scored 13 goals in 26 matches in the Macedonian First Division last season and has netted eight times in 10 outings this term, has made five appearances for his national team to date.

Todorovski wants to play for Macedonia

Serbian born footballer Aleksandar Todorovski declared that he wants to be part of the Macedonian national football team. For the daily paper Sport Press, the right back said that he is delighted of the chance to play for Macedonia: "I really wish to play for Macedonia and if the national team coach Mirsad Jonuz asks me, I will help the team in the next qualifications. My family is from Macedonia and that’s why I appreciate this interest. I will continue to give my best for my team and if the coach decides to call me I will be there. Honestly, I hope and I believe that I will get a call nad if I will, I will give my best."

Inter Milan signs Pandev
Skopje, January 05 2010 (HIM)
Serie A champion Inter Milan has signed striker Goran Pandev. The Macedonia international had been with Lazio since 2004 but was a free agent after winning a legal battle against the Rome team to be released from his contract.
Inter said in a statement on Monday that Pandev has signed until June 2014. No financial details about the deal have been released.

Pandev ready to join Mourinho at Inter Milan

Goran Pandev has declared he is joining Inter Milan. Freed from his contract at Lazio last week, the Macedonia international is expected to officially join Inter next week. Pandev told Tuttosport: "I have already spoken with (Inter coach) Jose Mourinho. "The coach has given me seven days for vacation."

Goran Pandev To Have Inter Medical On Monday - Report

Former Lazio striker Goran Pandev is on the verge of joining Inter and a deal could be rubber stamped within the next week. Itaposrtpress reports that the Macedonian, who won his legal battle to wriggle free from Lazio, will undergo a medical at Inter’s Appiano Gentile training ground on Monday.

Lazio ordered to release Pandev from contract
Skopje, December 24 2009 (HIM)
Lazio have been ordered to release striker Goran Pandev from his contract by the Lega Calcio. Pandev has been trying to terminate his stay with the Biancocelesti since the summer and has not played for the club all season. The decision by the Lega Calcio’s contract dispute resolution chamber means the FYR Macedonia frontman can leave on a free transfer in January.
