Macedonian PM has phone talk with Greek counterpart

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski had a phone talk with his Greek counterpart Georgios Papandreou, Macedonian Vecer daily writes. Gruevski’s cabinet announced that the talk was held at the initiative of the Macedonian prime minister. Gruevski and Papandreou discussed several issues of mutual interest, including the economic situation in the two countries.

Dutch Ambassador: Macedonia in NATO this year

Dutch ambassador Simone Filipini said that Macedonia would not have to wait long to enter NATO and that this would probably happen already this year. "Everybody in NATO hopes that Macedonia will become a full member already this year," said the ambassador at the lecture Contribution of the Republic of Macedonia to Global Safety and Stability, which was held at Military Academy in Skopje.

Deputy PM Naumovski to attend prayer breakfast in Washington

Macedonian Deputy PM for EU affairs Vasko Naumovski will attend the 58-th prayer breakfast in Washington on Thursday. Representatives of Macedonian Parliament, Aleksandar Spasenovski, Andrej Petrov and Sulejman Rushiti will attend the prayer breakfast as well. The National Prayer Breakfast is a yearly event held in Washington, D.C., on the first Thursday of February each year.

The realization of the biggest project, started by the previous power and then undertaken by the current government, is constantly facing new obstacles. Macedonian community should know the Albanian language, says Erwan Fouere

“The recommendation of High Commissioner on National Minorities with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Knut Vollebæk, is very sensitive. It gives an opportunity for the Albanian community to be better acquainted to the Macedonian language but it should be accompanied by efforts for strengthening Macedonians’ knowledge in Albanian language”, said head of the EU delegation to Macedonia, Erwan Fouere, as cited by Macedonian Vecer daily.

Droutsas: Our red lines are known

To study languages is invaluable, education should not be politicized and you must focus on the future of young people, urged US Ambassador Philip Reeker after meeting Gostivar mayor Rufi Osmani on Tuesday. - I think that my embassy staffers, as well as international representatives to the country and the citizens of this country should speak the Macedonian language.

The Greeks used Crvenkovski statements for there defense

Written submissions that Greece submitted to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, which is already known to be competent in the country, remain confidential until the eventual home of the oral hearing. However, it implies that much of the evidence used in the written submission of official Athens, in response to the Macedonian lawsuit against Greece for violation of the Interim Agreement gave part of politicians and journalists in the country. Several months after filing the complaint against Greece in November 2008, the current opposition leader Branko Crvenkovski, and then president, in an interview given to a national television at the beginning of 2009 did just that.

102 social apartments in Gjorce Petrov municipality put into use

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, Transport and Communication Minister Mile Janakieski and Vladimir Bahcovanovski, Director of the Public Enterprise for Management of Residential and Commercial Properties, put Tuesday into use a total of 102 social apartments in Skopje municipality Gjorce Petrov.
